Hi, my name is SHARON BURKE of Sharwood Poodles, and we
are located in Stuart, Florida where I breed quality, healthy, AKC red, apricot and black poodles (specializing in red). My
poodles average weight is 8-12 lbs. and up to 13" in height. My numbers are small so that I can give each
dog the care and love they need and want all the time. My breeding dogs have pedigrees with many outstanding CHAMPION
representatives of the breed.
I do not have a kennel. My dogs and puppies are "family members" and receive lots of loving
and attention. I wouldn't have it any other way. I can't begin to tell you how much joy my poodles give me.
They know when I am sad, sick, or having a great day! Therefore, their moods adjust to my feelings. They
will lay quietly by my side when I am sick, and just their presence is a comfort.
My adults and puppies are all spoiled house dogs, have great temperaments, give lots of kisses and
tail waggings, and are well socialized (especially by my grandchildren). Puppies leave for their new homes well groomed,
have a complete Vet physical, 1st set of shots, worming, have a Florida Certificate of Health guaranteeing them for one year
against serious genetic defects, AKC registration papers, and a 4 generation pedigree.
TESTING
I personally consider testing a vital part of my breeding program. Many health issues are hereditary,
and testing gives me "peace of mind" knowing that I am selling you as healthy a puppy as I can. However,
there is no guarantee that other unforeseen issues won't "crop up" that cannot be tested for. Fortunately all my dogs
tested"normal/clear-A's" for prcd-PRA which causes blindness, CERF'D normal (for other eye issues), and certified normal
patellas (loose kneecaps). If a new dog arrives without testing, that dog begins all testing before it
will be used in my breeding program.
SHIPPING
Although I prefer not to ship my babies, I will occasionally ship (weather permitting). I prefer
Continental Airlines as they have climate controlled areas for the animals. Shipping costs can range from $250-$300 depending
on the airline. This includes the flight, crate, health certificate for flying, and a small charge for my costs to and
from the airport for gas, tolls and parking.
